The Strangling Roothold is one of the new Roothold dungeons that were introduced with season 7 of the game. You first have to find a key that activates the dungeon. Then you have to travel to it. Fast travel is recommended. The dungeons are all very similar. You have to perform some rites, rituals or ceremonies, which decide the amount of rewards you get and also make the dungeon a bit more difficult. You can for example choose from raning fire or that using the potion stuns you. Afterward you have to uproot a certain amount of roots. Afterward you have to choose again, uproot more roots and then finally defeat a boss. In my case it was a Enraged Headless Husk.
